Komohana held a DCM on Easter Sunday at the Aiea Hongwanji from 4p-8p. Our guest speaker was Alan Castillo from HUGS (Help, Understanding & Group Support). We created birthday cards for the children they serve.
General Meeting - Scholarship Presentation

The Pearl Harbor Kiwanis Foundation presented the 2019 Max Templeman Memorial Scholarship to Waipahu Key Club President Carla. She will use the scholarship to futher her education at Hawaii Pacific University. She will pursue a career in nursing. Congratulations Carla.
USS Missouri Service Project

We had our monthly service project on board the USS Missouri. We cleaned and rehung the fire hoses located on the battleship. Nice job!
General Meeting - Guest Speaker Jodie Sanada
March 5, 2019 @Aiea High School Library
We held our general meeting "in the dark" while parts of Aiea experienced a blackout. However, that did not faze our guest speaker - Jodie Sanada - who is passionate about her career as a nurse. Our engineer Kathryn put up makeshift laterns to illuminate the room while Pres Judy grabbed emergency flashlights from her car. As Jodie neared the end of her presentation, she said that we needed to "raise the bar" on children's health ... and voila ... the lights came ON! Thank you Aiea Key Club for hosting us at the school's library. Thank you Ronnette, Jaz, Susan and Melanie for assisting us.
Board Meeting - LTG Official Board Visit

LTG Greg Peros did his Official Board Visit with the Pearl Harbor Kiwanis Club. We met at Bravo Restaurant in Aiea and had a great time discussing our K-Family. LTG Greg pinned Pres Judy with the "Heart of a Hero.”
