St. Francis Kupuna Meal Program Delivery

November 26, 2020

Happy Thanksgiving. Jodie, Judy and Kay (along with other K-Family members) delivered meals for the St Francis Kupuna Meal Program. Pauline Hirohata with the Honolulu Kiwanis Club and with St Francis, asked for volunteers. It was a great way for us to provide service in a time of need for so many of our Kupuna. All were so very grateful for the service provided by St Francis. #kupunaneedKiwanis

F.O.O.D Distribution

November 14, 2020

F.O.O.D. distribution sponsored by Aloha Harvest was at the Pearlridge Mall from 8:30a-11:00a. Many families drove by to pick up a box of produce, and in some cases even eggs and beef. Many volunteers came out to make the morning go smoothly and efficiently. Thank you for the generosity of Aloha Harvest, Y Hata, OneOahu, Pearlridge Mall and volunteers from Pearl City, Aiea, and Halawa. There will be another F.O.O.D. distribution on Sat, December 5 same time, same place.

What a great time we had at our Annual Key Club Take Over Meeting as the Pearl Harbor Kiwanis' SLP took control. Aiea, Leilehua, Mililani, Pearl City, and Waipahu Key Clubs prepared a full agenda which included a welcome video from Komohana LTG Hollie, Letters2OurKupuna service project, ice breaker/gimme gimmie, Happy & Sad $$$ padlet, Key Club Kahoot! and presentation by Meagan from The Salvation Army. Thank you to Division 22 LTG Joy for hosting our ZOOM session and group photo. Best Wishes to our Key Clubs. Thank you for your commitment to the core values of KCI - leadership, character building, caring, and inclusiveness.

Gift for Susie!

Our outgoing president, Susie, was presented with a special gift from the Club. Director Judy created a fleece blanket with SS surrounded by a gold heart. SS = Smiling Susie, because that is Susie! She always has a positive attitude no matter what challenges she faces. Susie said the blanket is perfect to keep her warm during her weekly dialysis sessions. Honorary member Ruby filled a beautiful tote bag with toiletries.
