*4-7 a.m. (HST) — Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit (Attend virtually or in person)
What does diversity, equity and inclusion look like for your Kiwanis club and community? Join us for an interactive session where we will learn and explore these topics together. Be inspired by a keynote address from Hugh Anthony Simmonds, an avid volunteer who helps individuals uncover their passions and unfold their purpose. In-person and virtual attendees will participate in an interactive exercise and spend time with a peer group of Kiwanians to talk about how clubs can better serve and reflect their communities.
*5 - 8 a.m. (HST) — Meeting of the 2021 Kiwanis International Council (Attend virtually or in person.)
The Kiwanis International Board of Trustees declared that emergency conditions will exist through September 30, 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. On February 22, 2021, the board determined that it would be impossible and impractical to hold a safe, accessible convention for its international membership due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, 2021 board elections will be conducted by the Kiwanis International Council to guarantee global representation prescribed under the bylaws and current pandemic restrictions. The Kiwanis International Council consists of the Board of Trustees, past Kiwanis International presidents, current district governors, the Kiwanis International-European Federation president and Kiwanis Asia-Pacific chair. The council members will elect the 2021-22 president, president-elect, vice president and three trustees representing the United States and Pacific Canada. Announced candidates for those leadership positions can be reviewed here.
*8 - 11:30 a.m. (HST) — Kiwanis Children's Fund Annual Meeting AND A Kiwanis Celebration (Attend virtually or in person.)
Start this closing session with the annual meeting of the Kiwanis Children's Fund. Then, celebrate the impact Kiwanis clubs are making across the world. The top 10 finalists and the gold, silver and bronze winners in each tier of the 2021 Signature Project Contest will be recognized. The 2021 World Service Medal — the highest honor presented by Kiwanis International — will be awarded. The leaders who guided the organization through this difficult year will be acknowledged.
*3:30-7 p.m. (HST) — Kiwanis BBQ (Attend in person.)
Join fellow Kiwanians and guests for a relaxed night of fellowship and entertainment by country music legends Larry Gatlin and Lorrie Morgan. Wear your denim or your diamonds. Your in-person registration includes an authentic barbeque dinner, cash bar, a set by Larry Gatlin and then a show by Lorrie Morgan and her band.
