Ms. Jennifer Sagon-Taeza, the founder of REAL Innovative Connections has created a PEACE EDUCATION program and works closely with the Hiroshima Peace Museum in Japan. Learn about Sadako Sasaki who was a victim of World War II and the US atomic bomb. Sadako started to fold origami cranes. Her legacy of hope lives on each time someone folds a crane.
As we continue to look for meaningful stay-at-home projects, we invited Ms. Sagon-Taeza to conduct a free-standing crane folding workshop at our general meeting on December 1. A free-standing crane can be hung or displayed on a flat surface. These cranes will be sent to the Peace Museum in Japan. You are encouraged to include a message of peace on the crane.
What you will need for the workshop: pre-cut 6”x6” paper (stationery, wrapping paper, origami paper, etc.
