Day of the Dead

Carol and Kay volunteered at the Day of the Dead event at the Church of the Crossroads. This was hosted by Kokua Mau. This free event provided families with activities including shoebox ofrendas (or altars), decorating skull-shaped sugar cookies, making marigolds, and designing Mexican flags.

USS Missouri Service Project

Our monthly USS Missouri Workday with the Aiea Key Club. We did a "slathering" job to glue teak planks together to create beautiful plaques. We also worked on teak bookmarks.

Celebrate Safe Communities

October 12, 2019 @Pearlridge Center

The Kiwanis Club of Pearl Harbor partnered with the YMCA of Honolulu at the annual Celebrate Safe Communities event at Pearlridge Wai Makai (Downtown). We offered keiki (and adults) a make-and-take craft activity - leaf suncatchers! The Key Clubs of Pearl City and Aiea were there to assist the keiki. We all had a great time.

Children & Youth Day

October 6, 2019 @Hawaii State Capitol

Annual Children & Youth Day at the State Capitol and surrounding grounds. Pearl Harbor Kiwanis partners with the YMCA of Honolulu. Leilehua Key Club came out to assist the keiki in a leaf suncatcher activity. It was very popular with children as well as adults. Waipahu Key Club were busy distributing stuffed animals to keiki at the Children & Youth Day.
